July 1, 1997 , Cincinnati USA. The Center for Economic Initiatives (CEI) has announced the opening of an Internet home page dedicated fostering business contacts between the US and Ukraine.
Ukraine, a former Russian Soviet satellite state, has been an independent country since 1991. After a number of years of struggling to develop a democratic, free market economy, Ukraine is now slowly emerging as a viable location for business expansion and/or business partnerships. The country now has a newly introduced local currency (the Hryvnia), and is working hard to put in place a legal and ethical climate which will allow free market businesses to exist and to flourish.
The Center for Economic Initiatives is an independent non-profit corporation whose objective is to provide business assistance and information for the establishment of free market conditions in countries which are emerging from communist or controlled economies to democratic and open market societies.
Ukrainebiz.com allows visitors to the home page to search for specific companies by industry type and learn about these companies and their products. US companies can also advertise their products and services which may be of interest to companies in Ukraine or doing business with Ukraine. A Bulletin Board has been added so visitors can post messages about products and services that may not already be covered by companies who are advertising here.
If you or your company would like to explore the potential for business opportunities with Ukraine, you may log onto the CEI web page at http://www.ukrainebiz.com .
